Odeur de Swing
Strolling Concerts
Drawing on the repertoire of the great American bands of the early twentieth century, such as Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Bix Beiderbecke and Benny Goodman, the five musicians of Odeur de Swing will sweep you away to the heart of the cabarets and underground bistros of the 1920s and 1930s. The group, made up of Geneviève Duval (trombone and vocals), Raphaël Dubois (trumpet and vocals), Johannes Gröne (clarinet, saxophone and vocals), Frédéric Brunet (banjo, guitar and vocals), Thierry Sterckeman (double bass and vocals) and Fabrice Métivier (drums), will take you back to a time when dancing was just as important as breathing.
