Works inspired by birds from the Baroque period with tunes from our own folklore to create a soundscape evocative of nature and Quebec culture. Traditional Québécois reels, arranged by jazz composer Guillaume Bouchard, punctuate these bird songs in a marriage that’s as pleasing as it is surprising!

La Chamaille

For over 20 years, La Chamaille has been dedicated to showcasing the vast repertoire of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, performed on period instruments.

Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church

Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church dates from 1688. It was built on the site of Samuel de Champlain’s two homes. The church has been declared a heritage site by various levels of government. It is home to several heritage paintings that have been restored over the past five years.
